Viktor Ori is a familiar name on the Slovak alternative music scene and part of one of the most influential DIY-driven waves currently shaping Czechoslovak music. For over a decade, he was the singer and guitarist of Shallov—a band that eventually evolved into this solo-driven project. The debut album features several guest musicians, and is currently performed live as a two-piece with drummer Antonín Kropáček. Their sound draws from punk, shoegaze, screamo, trip-hop, industrial metal, and pop—blending these influences into distinctive songwriting and sound. Viktor’s lyrics channel a sense of post-modern dystopia—personal, existential, and raw, yet also political, provocative, and widely resonant.
